Absences
You can notify the school of your child's absence by calling the absence hotline at (707) 522-8917 ext 4
Or you can email Mrs. Trafton at [email protected]
Excused absences include: Illness, medical appointments, bereavement for a close family member, or religious reasons. Students are allowed no more than 15 excused absences per school year. If your child exceeds 15 excused absences in the school year, a doctor's note will be required, or you can fill out an independent study form to receive school credit. Any absences that we do not receive notification on, with a valid excuse as listed above, will be marked as unexcused. 3 or more unexcused absences will result in a truancy and will require intervention with the principal and possible further action at the district level.
Vacations are unexcused, even if you notify the office. If you know are going on vacation, please come to the office and fill out an independent study form, or use the link about to download the forms. This will give your student credit for the days missed, and they will not be marked unexcused.

Puede notificar a la escuela sobre la ausencia de su hijo llamando a la línea directa de ausencias al (707) 522-8917, extensión 4, o enviando un correo electrónico a la Sra. Trafton a [email protected].
Las ausencias justificadas incluyen: enfermedad, citas médicas, fallecimiento de un familiar cercano o motivos religiosos. Se permite un máximo de 15 ausencias justificadas por año escolar. Si su hijo supera las 15 ausencias justificadas durante el año escolar, se requerirá un certificado médico o deberá completar un formulario de estudio independiente para recibir crédito escolar. Cualquier ausencia que no sea notificada con una justificación válida (según lo indicado anteriormente) se registrará como injustificada. Acumular 3 o más ausencias injustificadas se considerará absentismo escolar y requerirá la intervención del director, además de posibles medidas adicionales a nivel del distrito.
Las vacaciones se consideran ausencias injustificadas, incluso si notifica a la oficina. Si sabe que saldrá de vacaciones, por favor acuda a la oficina para completar un formulario de estudio independiente o utilice el enlace anterior para descargar los formularios.
