Schaefer ParentsAs children’s first teachers, we see parents as a crucial ingredient in the overall success of our students. But the partnership goes beyond that. Parent involvement makes for a better school and a more enriching experience for the whole Schaefer Community. Schaefer LIFE & Families is the parent-lead, non-profit organization charged with bringing together Schaefer Charter School students, parents, staff and teachers, while creating a sense of community. Schaefer Families provides much needed, engagement opportunities like Beautification Days, Family Movie Nights, dances and much more.

The Piner-Olivet Union School District Participates in the national school lunch and breakfast program. Information regarding the application process and purchasing procedure for free or reduced price breakfasts and lunches is in the school office. Menus are available in the office or on the homepage of the website.
Milk: *Milk can only be purchased by half or full year *Cost is the same, regardless if your child misses school due to illness or vacation *Cost/Refund will be pro-rated for children who enroll late or leave the district Cost for Half Year $25.00. It also gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen, or used for things other than lunch. Methods of Payment: 1. Online (Preferred Method of Payment) Online payments are simple, safe, and a secure way to make payments to your student's account 24 hours a day, at your convenience. Go to www.myschoolbucks.com, select "Register for a Free Account" and follow the simple and easy instructions. 2. Check Make payable to Piner Food Service (There will be a $25.00 fee on all returned checks). Please include your child's first and last name on the check. 3. Cash Please place it in an envelope marked clearly with your student's name, teacher, and the amount. 4. Credit Card Credit Card Authorization forms are available in your school office or by contacting your school's Food Service Worker. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.
